Privacy Policy

How Tecnics handles personal information for our website, consulting services, managed services, recruiting, and business operations.

Effective Date

June 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tecnics Consulting Inc. and its affiliates, as applicable ("Tecnics," "we," "us," or "our"), collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our website, consulting services, managed services, professional services, sales and marketing activities, recruiting, and ordinary business operations.

This policy is written for Tecnics' current services business. It is not intended to describe privacy practices for products or product platforms that have transitioned to Credenti.

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information that Tecnics collects or processes when you visit our website, contact us, attend our events or webinars, communicate with our team, engage Tecnics for consulting or managed services, apply for a job, or otherwise interact with us in a business context.

When Tecnics performs services for a customer, we may process personal information from the customer's identity, access, HR, ITSM, security, collaboration, or business systems at the customer's direction. In those situations, the customer is usually responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing, and Tecnics processes the information under the applicable services agreement, statement of work, data processing terms, and customer instructions.

Credenti Products and Product Data

Tecnics previously offered certain identity-related products that are now operated under Credenti. This Privacy Policy does not apply to Credenti products, product portals, product accounts, product support workflows, product telemetry, product identity verification workflows, or other product-related data processing performed by Credenti.

Tecnics does not describe its current services business as collecting high-risk product-platform data. If you use a Credenti product or service, please review the Credenti Privacy Policy and applicable product terms.

Where Tecnics retains limited historical records related to products that transitioned to Credenti, Tecnics uses and protects those records only for lawful business purposes such as transition support, contract administration, accounting, compliance, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping.

Customer engagement information may be disclosed to the customer, customer-designated stakeholders, customer vendors, or customer-authorized platform providers as needed to deliver services.

With consent or direction

Information may be disclosed when you or your organization asks us to do so or otherwise consents to the disclosure.

Tecnics does not sell personal information. Tecnics does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in U.S. state privacy laws. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.

Customer-Controlled Data

Many Tecnics engagements involve systems controlled by our customers. Examples include identity providers, privileged access management platforms, HR systems, IT service management systems, directories, cloud environments, collaboration systems, databases, and custom applications. In those environments, Tecnics generally acts under customer instructions and uses customer-controlled data only to provide the contracted services, support security and compliance, troubleshoot issues, document work, and meet legal or contractual obligations.

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the authority to provide personal information to Tecnics and for giving required notices to their workforce, contractors, users, or other individuals whose data may be processed in customer-controlled systems. Tecnics expects customers to limit access to the data reasonably necessary for the engagement and to use approved access controls, least privilege, and customer-authorized credential or privileged-access workflows.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Tecnics may use cookies, pixels, log files, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website usage, secure the website, measure campaign performance, and improve content. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect website functionality.

Some browsers or extensions send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Because standards and legal requirements vary, Tecnics responds to legally required browser-based opt-out signals where applicable. If Tecnics later uses advertising technologies that constitute a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable law, Tecnics will provide required notices and opt-out mechanisms.

Data Retention

Tecnics retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, manage customer relationships, comply with legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, maintain business records, secure systems, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of the relationship, customer instructions, contractual requirements, legal requirements, and operational needs.

For customer-controlled engagement data, Tecnics follows the applicable agreement, statement of work, customer instructions, and internal data handling practices. Customers may request return or deletion of customer-controlled data in accordance with the applicable agreement.

Security

Tecnics uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss. These safeguards may include access controls, authentication controls, least-privilege practices, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, secure collaboration practices, vendor review, incident response processes, and personnel training.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Tecnics cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information in a manner appropriate to the nature of the information and our role in processing it.

International Data Transfers

Tecnics is based in the United States. If you interact with Tecnics from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where Tecnics, its service providers, or customer-approved systems operate. Where required by applicable law, Tecnics uses appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual commitments, customer instructions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

This policy does not claim that Tecnics is certified under any particular international data transfer framework unless Tecnics has separately confirmed that certification and published the required supporting disclosures.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and your relationship with Tecnics, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of personal information, portability of certain information, restriction or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, limitation on the use of sensitive personal information, opt-out of certain disclosures or targeted advertising, and appeal of a denied request.

To submit a privacy request, contact Tecnics at privacy@tecnics.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. If your request relates to personal information in a customer-controlled system, we may direct the request to the relevant customer or respond as instructed by that customer. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights available under applicable privacy law.
