Business Need:
Travel Impressions (TI) has been using Excel for the Budgeting process. Actual values were received from the legacy System both in Excel and SAP (PA) to support this process. The data received in Excel File was spread across several sheets which was cumbersome to Analyze. The data was disorganised and scattered which made analysis very complex. Applying the mathematical calculations was complicated and time consuming.
Solution:
Tecnics developed the portal that has automated the budgeting process using SAP based approach which is utilizing more data within SAP. This internally streamlined the process to be efficient by cutting down the time in generating reports and by providing wide scope for analysis. The Portal with its eye-catching and straightforward screens has made the budgeting process motivating which otherwise was very complicated and laborious. The simple design allows the users to navigate through various pages from top level (Global Level) to the lowest levels (Channel Level) of hierarchy, which would have been an impossible task using the current legacy system. The system enables the user to compare previous budgets which in turn helps to assess the future requirement. Ever since the application was developed, size of the team was reduced to half thus saving several man hours.
Benefits:
The solution has enhanced the following areas considerably:
- Data Accuracy
- Time Saving
- Scope for Analysis
- Reduced Man Hours
