The Client is one of the leading utility vehicles manufacturing company.

Business need:
The company‘s Purchase order management system was built on IBM Mainframes. The Purchase order management process was time consuming as it required manual intervention for frequent data updates. The client wanted to enhance the process through automation to make it faster, efficient and scalable. Challenges in the project were to understand and deliver high-quality system and to rollout the new system.

Solution:
Tecnics designed a solution to simplify the Purchase Order creation process by using IBM Websphere Host Access Transformation Service (HATS) and IBM Rational Application Developer. We developed a web application that interfaces with the client’s existing applications to carry data and move the same to the client’s Purchase Order System. We eliminated the periodic manual intrusion by means of automatic batch jobs scheduled to run at the end of the day. Tecnics demonstrated and delivered a comprehensive solution deployed on IBM Websphere Server.
